Persian Gulf War Political CartoonIn this cartoon there is an oil gun meaning that is oil really needed to be fought for? Well in the Persian Gulf War that was the main point. Other people might differ but this is my opinion and view from it. When the leader of Iraq Saddam Hussein, ordered for an invasion on Kuwait which is the country with the highest oil industries and oil productions in the world, they were invading to take the oil, they didn't know that their former allies, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and America, would help with this situation. Even though the cartoon doesn't show that the Americans (former allies of Kuwait) intervened by air craft. Yet people say that their mission wasn't to help the Kuwait country but the Americans have the ability to intervene in any situation that needs our aid. So why would we be dumb enough to take advantage and not aid other countries when in need? That wouldn't make sense right? Overall the cartoon asks do we really need to fight over oil like it's a weapon?
